HIALEAH, FLA. (WSVN) – Members of the Hialeah Fireplace Division hosted workshops in an effort to assist kids and their dad and mom keep protected in case a fireplace sparks.
The division teamed up with Lowe’s for Saturday’s occasion as a part of Fireplace Prevention Week.
Attendees of all ages participated within the workshops on the Lowe’s close to West 37th Avenue and 16th Avenue.
Hialeah Fireplace Lt. Paul Garcia reminded dad and mom to verify to have an escape plan within the case of an emergency.
“We would like these kids to come back right here and have enjoyable, have a superb time, have a snack, and go house and ensure to remind their dad and mom, ‘Mother, Dad, do we have now a plan if there was a fireplace in our home?’” he mentioned.
Based on the Crimson Cross, house fires declare seven lives every day within the U.S. Most of those deaths occur in houses with out working smoke alarms.
